The younger brother of Rain or Shine guard Maverick Ahanmisi made six three-pointers in his first official UAAP game but the Falcons needed to weather a gritty Maroons stand to win in their first game under coach Franz Pumaren.

Robbie Manalang tallied 16 points for the Falcons, who trailed by six points, 83-77, with four minutes left only to finish the match with a 21-8 run.

The win gave Pumaren his first win as an Adamson coach after working for a decade with La Salle in the early 1990s and 2000s, winning five championships.-spin.ph
