Player of the Week: Jayson Castro

TNT’s overpowering start has a lot to do with combo guard Jayson Castro’s stellar plays in the ongoing PBA Governors Cup.

The Blur also issued eight assists and hauled down four rebounds in an all-around effort.

Castro’s impressive showing earned him his second Accel-PBA Press Corps Player of the Week this conference, beating NLEX’s Garvo Lanete and Phoenix forward Willy Wilson for the citation for the period of Aug. 29 to Sept. 4.

Jayson Castro currently averages a team-best 21.78 points, 8.0 assists, 3.89 rebounds and 1.22 steals this conference. (RD)
