Kuya Marcus will play for Mighty Sports in Singapore this month

Former Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player Marcus Douthit is set to play for Mighty Sports, which will represent the country in the 2016 Merlions Cup in Singapore from September 21-25.

“Excited to have @DouthitMarcus back here in the PH to play for @MightysportsPH in the Merlion’s Cup. He is considered a local player,” Tiu said in a tweet on Thursday.

The 36-year-old Douthit had his last stint with the Sinag Pilipinas in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore where the Filipinos won the gold medal.
Douthit will be joining forces with former PBA imports Al Thornton and Hamady Ndiaye, along with 2016 Jones Cup MVP Dewarick Spencer in the Singapore basketball tournament, along with Fil-American point guard Jason Brickman.

Former TNT wingman Aron Aban and ex-pros Jason Deuchsman, TY Tang, along with amateurs Edrick Ferrer, Gelo Alolino, Ael and Gab Banal complete the cast for the Philippine representative.
