Kobe Paras expressed his desire to play for Gilas Pilipinas after Kiefer Ravena and Ray Parks decided to skip the Fiba Asia Challenge Cup

“Playing for Gilas sounds good right now,” Paras said in his retweet of a Slam Philippines story of Ravena and Parks skipping the Fiba Asia Challenge Cup.

However, it is unlikely that he can be included in the lineup even if the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) wants to since he wasn't part of the initial 24-man lineup submitted to the Fiba Asia for the Challenge cup.

Paras' availability also remains uncertain, but it would definitely be a boost to a young squad that's facing the seniors' teams of the countries in the continent.
