Yeng Guiao fined P20K after shouting ‘Wala nang nanonood sa atin, ref!’

The PBA made sure that Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao won’t easily go away with his latest tirade at officiating after the fiery tactician was fined P20,000 for criticizing referees during his team’s 117-114 win over the Alaska Aces last Saturday.

Guiao was ejected at the 3:11 mark of the third quarter after incurring his second technical foul.

But while he was on his way out of the court, Guiao, who has long slammed PBA officiating, blasted referees one last time and shouted: “Wala nang nanonood sa atin, ref!”

Before the incident, Rain or Shine’s Raymond Almazan was slapped with a reach-in foul on Alaska’s LaDontae Henton–a call which Guiao felt was questionable given his player’s slight contact on the import.

Guiao was also fined another P2,000 for entering the court earlier in the game.

He wasn’t the only one penalized by the PBA in that same game, as Rain or Shine big man Beau Belga was meted P5,000 for a flagrant foul penalty one. -interaksyon.com
