Wright, who is expected to make it within the 6-5 limit, arrived early Saturday morning.

“Yes, kararating lang ni Joel Wright this morning. I hope we did the right thing by bringing the new guy, mas scorer and a younger version,” Star board governor Rene Pardo told FOX Sports on Saturday.

The former Texas State standout is coming off a stint with the Bakersfield Jam in the NBA D-League where he averaged 14.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 26 games this past season.

The Hotshots dropped 3 of their first 4 games in the season-ending conference, which Pardo said made them decide to finally give the pink slip to the usually dependable Blakely. -foxsportsasia.com
