Team Philippines pulled off an epic comeback in the semifinals, climbing from a huge deficit before snatching a 21-20 victory on a game-winning jumper to advance to the championship game of the FIBA 3×3 U18 Asian Championships in Malaysia.
John Lloyd Clemente buried the game-winning jumper to win the race to 21 points for the Filipinos who fell by as much as eight in the quick 3×3 game.

Team Philippines trailed 16-8 but the Filipinos started to make a comeback in the last two minutes, eventually trimming it to 19-16.

Leading 20-19, Malaysia was on the verge of sealing the win but the hosts missed two easy baskets underneath.

With just under a minute left, Team Philippines then found a hero in Clemente who sank a jumper from the top of the key to propel them to the triumph.

The Philippines will face Qatar for the championship game scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
